Speed Painting

I tried this technique of painting without first having an underdrawing, just for kicks. It didn’t turn out too badly so I am uploading it here. Photoshop brushes were custom-made by me.

Mega, like your digital wolf, do you use wacom tablet to paint with photoshop? I’ve heard corel painter is good for digital painting also

Yes I do use a wacom tablet, though its horribly out of date lol :P It works though.
I’ve considered corel, and have also tried open canvas and the gimp (but not recently), but I just haven’t gotten around to getting the software, partially because I’m just set in my ways with photoshop :)

Hi, again…I’ve not experimented with digital art yet, although I can use Photoshop and illustrator. Would you recommend a wacom tablet looking into buying one?

Thanks for your comment about one of my paintings by the way…more on the way

Definitely wouldn’t continue painting without it. Much more natural and you do not get all the effects of pressure sensitivity (i.e., controlling the thickness of your lines) without it. Besides that, the mouse is so clunky.
